Ways to spend your holiday.
You may be coming to Puivert with a specific purpose in mind, for example with one of our dedicated cycling or walking groups. but the area offers many more opportunities with something to please all family members. The history page explains a little of the history of the area and some of the main visitor attractions associated with the history.
Other pages explain the opportunities for skiing and gliding though we would never claim to be a skiing resort. A popular activity is rafting or kayaking on the Aude which is possible from various places and suitable from age 6 upwards depending on location. Generally the higher up the valley the whiter the water.
Natural phenonema are everywhere. The Gorge De Galamus is not to be missed by anyone. Cycling through it is amazing. The Grotte Mas D'Azil, the Riviere Souterrain De Labouiche. The list is endless. I could not possibly include them all here but from the links page it is possible to visit sites dedicated to the purpose.
This is also an area to relax and enjoy family fun. Quiet lakes with sandy beaches, The Safari Park at Sigean. The Parc De Pre Histoire at Tarascon and many other ways to keep the children happy.
You can visit a local market, both Mirepoix and Esperaza have excellent markets, and if you are coming to look for property, though this is no longer cheap and in plentiful supply there is always movement in the property market. Again we have included local estate agents on the links page.

Debutant, experimenté ou enfant (des 6 ans),tout le long de la riviere Aude, vous trouverez votre propre niveau.

ICi nous sommes dans une region trés accueillante aux familles. Les enfants peuvent s'amuser aux plages au bord des lacs. Parmi les visites possibles; La Reserve naturel de Sigean, Parc de la Prehistoire à Tarascon.
Pourquoi pas déguster les produits locaux souvent Bio, vous les trouverez en visitant les marchés de la région, notamment à Mirepoix et Esperaza.
